Jamshedpur, Jharkhand: A POCSO awareness programme was organized by Sacred Heart Convent School with the objective of educating participants about the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and its significance in safeguarding children below 18 years of age. The programme was conducted by Mr. Sunish Pandey, District Court Advocate and President of Yuva Adhivakta Kalyan Samithi, Jharkhand, in the presence of Sr.

Steffi, the School Principal; Sr. Serena, the Manager; and Ms. Reena Dsouza, the School Counsellor. The session was specially conducted for van drivers, recognizing their vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children during their daily commute. The session was highly informative, interactive,
and engaging. It effectively addressed participants’ queries and significantly enhanced their understanding of child protection laws and their responsibilities. Key Points Discussed: All children below 18 years of age are protected under the POCSO Act.
